Assessment Centres and Development Centres are powerful techniques
for measuring competency in a variety of job roles. Whether it
be through Assessment Centres, widely used in personnel selection
and promotion, or through Development Centres, where the focus
is on providing feedback to the person to assist development planning,

Typically, our approach to assessment and development centres
involves:
- Design or refinement of the organisation’s
competency model
- Selection and/or design of assessment centre exercises (psychometric,
interview-based, analysis exercises, group exercises etc.)
- Training of assessors/observers
- Briefing the participants
- Facilitatiing the centre with support from in-house assessors
- Reviewing outcomes, preparing reports and providing feedback
- Evaluating the centre (did it work? what were participants’
reactions? etc.)
- Following through on development planning in the case of development
centre participants
